I’m a few chapters into Jo’s Boys, and on page 37 in War and Peace. I made myself read a chapter of that before I started reading Jo’s Boys. bweeheee. I really have no idea where it’s going. Prince Vasili’s doing … something; Princess Anna Mikha-something is really humiliating herself to get her son higher in some military stuff; Boris and someone and his friend and another girl; that’s all I remember. O_o Is that wrong or what?

new layout, CCS; reading
*dances* Woohoo! I made a new layout! Weird, not exactly great, but I still like it. ^u^ *laughs and points to Syaoran trying to get away from Meilin* The lyrics on the top are from The Cardigans’ [heh, of course] song Sick and Tired. lol, Syaoran’s sick and tired of Meilin … *pouts* I want a new CCS DVD! Ceol said the next one has the episode where Kero and Syaoran switch bodies. Woot! I wanna see that one! Seeee iiitt!
Umm, okay, that was weird. I talked about the Amazon.com order, right? Last night I finished reading X/1999 Prologue. Must have more! Mommy asked on Monday when we’re going to order from Amazon next. I told her, “As soon as I finish reading this manga.” She wants to buy a book by someone who had a near death experience. Ooh, spoOoky! Actually, it’s more confusing, and mindboggling, but whatever. And if anyone was wondering … I got to page 31 in War and Peace a while ago, but stopped reading it ’cause I got addicted to Little Women, then Little Men [which I am more than two-thirds through already O.o]. I still don’t know what mon dieu means!
very slowly reading
What does mon dieu mean? *is too lazy to look it up* My something … That princess lady, the one married to the Bolonsky guy … Lisa? She’s said it twice so far. I’ve read 17 pages of War and Peace! I’m so proud of me!
After I finish this (and I do plan to finish it, even if I have to finish it the Scarlet-Letter-hard way) I think I’m going to read the rest of the Anne of Green Gables books. That is, if I can fight off the urge to reread Little Women, Little Men, and Jo’s Boys. Then if I ever get a freefreefree day (it has to be a really free day) I’ll read The Haunting of Hill House. ^.^ I’m shivering already.
Count of Monte Cristo
We (Mommy, Mickey, and I) went to see Count of Monte Cristo. I don’t understand why that one person said it was the most predictable movie she’s seen. I rather liked it. :b I really liked it. I saw the person who played Albus Dumbledore in there. Heehee. Yes, I like him better in this movie.
Mommy said this movie didn’t follow the book, that the book was very long and involved. She said … *spoiler* … that the guy wasn’t his son, that he and that lady don’t get back together again, but he is very generous with his money … *end spoiler* … the person who played the son interested me, in sorts. ^.~ I don’t know his name, though. I missed a part of the credits, or didn’t know his role’s name correctly. *shrugs* No biggie.
reading late
Last night, or this morning, I stayed up until 6:15 am reading The Books of Fell. ^.^ I’ve stayed up until 3 (maybe 4) reading books, but never so close to the time I’m supposed to wake up on weekdays. I read about 400 pages in 6 hours and 45 minutes. 405 minutes. That’s about a page a minute, my usual reading speed. That’s amazing, because I kept rereading the same paragraphs for a while … ^_^;; So I guess that is my ultimate midnight rendezvous?
One time I remember, I told myself I’d never stay up late reading Harry Potter, it wasn’t worth it (still in my I’m-not-into-fads mode) and so when I got to the fourth book, I read the first half in one night. ^_^; I thought, ‘Okay, go to bed now, and you’ll never stay up half the night reading a Harry Potter book.’ So I did. Then skipped schoolwork the next day to finish it. ^.^ Ohoho …
