yayness! (lab, summer, skateboard, Making of Fallen)

Yay! I’m done with my formal lab report! Or, almost. I just have to draw the structure of the molecules. Then I’m done! *celebrate*

Summer’s almost here too! Yay! I have lots of stuff I’m planning to do. Don’t know how much of it I’m gonna accomplish, though. Considering I had a list last year and I don’t think I did much of it. Um. What I want to do: finish crediting all the lyrics (possible) on my site, upload lyrics of my recently acquired albums; convert my GM entries to WP entries; read lots; move my dreamlog to a WordPress blog on my site (baibai Diaryland…); umm … I forget other stuff, but I have it written down somewhere.

I was thinking recently that I need exercise. Not the go to the gym get sweaty kind, but just … get outside, do something other than sit around all day. I like to rollerblade, but the sidewalks around here are kind of in various states of disrepair. It’s fun going really really fast and then jumping over cracks, but then … doing it all the time? It just makes my joints hurt (in my mind). I also thought, I don’t know, I could have always rollerbladed, and I never did, so why would I now?

But! I had a really crazy mad thought! Maybe I could take Hidek’s old skateboard and learn how to ride that! hah. I don’t know. *thinks of old entry about wanting to skateboard* It’d be fun. I’d have to tighten the trucks or whatever it is Hidek loosens to make his board more turny-able. But then the biggest problem with my idea is that I think Hidek doesn’t have an old skateboard I could use. He has an old skateboard, but I can’t use it. I think something like, one of the trucks is broken, or he lost a screw or something … meh. *dreams*

[edit:2:00am] Oh yeah, I forgot, somehow. O_o Double yay! I managed to download the Making of Fallen part II file from Evanescence Website! XDDDD Finally! After maybe half a year … Now to watch it … *happyhappyjoyjoy*

new spam and new layout

Wow, I got spam with the subject “Get A Free* XM Radio.” Asterisk!!

Is spam going in a new direction? “Yes it is free but there ARE catches, and we tell you right off the bat”…

I don’t like asterisks. Especially on fast food bags. There’s no asterisk-y note at the bottom or anywhere else on the bag!! It drives me insane, ’cause then I don’t know what this company is hiding from me. *shifty eyes* Or in car commercials where the little note at the bottom isn’t legible even on our big screen tv.

Yes I’m a freak and like reading those little notes. ^^;; I like seeing how things are really different than what they say. So it’s a lie … but you’re supposed to know it’s a lie, if you take the time to read it.

Also … oh yeah, WordPress doesn’t save triple line breaks. Pooh. Anyway. New layout coming up fairly soon. I started it as a header for a Livejournal layout, not necessarily for me. But … I ended up liking it so much that I’m putting it on my bloggie. ^^ And I am not a fangirl!!

Dang. I don’t like coding and stuff at the moment. Either I understand php very very little … or the coding is just being weird. Hm, which one, I wonder …

I wonder if I could make this area all light color [just from text]. >) I’d be tempted to try if I didn’t have to go delete those entries later. muahaha.

But whatever. I looked it over and I just don’t understand what’s wrong, so I ain’t a-fixin it.

Also … maybe it’s just my server, but WordPress updates entries awfully slowly.

All righty, WordPress is here and it’s going to stay (hopefully) on fsnet. ^^

So far only the index page looks good … too lazy to edit the other templates. The tagboard doesn’t work either, and I can’t figure out why because I don’t really have any error logs to look at … oh well.

I want to change the font in this entry box. Blah.

That is all, I guess.

I installed WordPress … which took quite a bit of work because for some reason my ftp thingamabobber keeps “timing out” or something, while I’m uploading stuff and I have to log out and log back in. I never said I understood ftp servers.

I guess WP is okay. I’m just not used to it. I can’t figure out their template system. It makes me sad. I must be doing something stupidly.

WP also only can import my Greymatter entries. They’re working on some pMachine Nucleus importer … what the heck is this Nucleus thing?

Also don’t like the categories thing. *pokes it* Never used it before, never was interested in it, won’t start anytime soon. boo. Why can’t I turn it off? (pMachine lets me do it. /end whiny child bit)
