hair, cosplay idea, and b2

I braided my hair last night while it was wet to make it wavy/curly/whatever, but the waves brushed out and now it’s practically flat. ;-; My hair is mean. When I try to brush it straight it goes poufy. When I try to make it curl, it goes flat. ^^; I should really use more traditional methods … but I don’t like heat on my hair, and I’m too lazy to use conditioner. ^.^;

Well, I figured if I did my hair this way and actually figured a way to make it more curly, then put it up in pigtails (like Miwako! ^__^), and got one of Miwako’s outfits together, I could cosplay her. XD ‘Cept I wouldn’t dye my hair whatever color hers is. (I can’t remember all of a sudden O.o) Then I thought maybe I could get an outfit that Yukari wore, and put my hair up that way (because she did it before). But I don’t have the extremely good looks or the loong legs. Pooh. :b But I am NOT dying my hair!

Then again, it’s not like I’d have a chance to cosplay. >_> *sigh* Oh well.

Oh yeah. I think I’m gonna try b2. Acause someone said GM is a bandwidth hog (maybe just when you rebuild everything?) and quite a few servers don’t allow GM to be run on them, and that it’s old software anyway. Um. Something like that. And besides. I keep feeling like changing my archives/entries/etc. pages, but I don’t want to rebuild everything. x_x I also feel like making a pop-up comments page or something. ^^; I dunno why. I don’t like pop-ups at all. Odd, no?

music and video watching

Today I spent a good portion of my time watching music videos. ^__^; They were all on Yahoo Launch … so it meant I was on Mommy and Daddy’s compi, yeah. *never figured out why WMP videos don’t work on the laptop* I saw three Goo Goo Dolls videos (Iris and two from the early nineties … haha! ^.^; *hushes*), some random ones that came on after the ones I clicked on, a 3 Doors Down video (When I’m Gone *sniffle* sad; me wants mp3 *looks at Adam* :b), aaand … Matchbox Twenty videos. Yayayay! :D

I saw most of the videos on Launch. I saw the 2000 interview thing. Rob Thomas said Backstreet Boys have good voices. Interesting opinion. But he’s right. The people at the concerts are having fun, so what’s it matter if they wrote their own songs or not? “Frank Sinatra didn’t,” he said. I didn’t know that. Charlotte Church doesn’t, either. Or I’m assuming so, considering I’ve seen her perform classical and Christmas songs only … :b Yet she’s very respected. Anyway.

So. Yeah. Let’s see … I saw Disease, 3 A.M., Push, Long Day, Back 2 Good, Exclusive Interview [2000], Busted, If You’re Gone, and, of course, Mad Season (although I’ve seen it a few times already). ^__^ Wheeee … I liked 3 A.M. and Long Day. I also really like the songs Long Day and Push.

The Ring

I saw The Ring. :D Not as scary as I thought … or maybe it’s because I inadvertently found out some of the stuff that was going to happen. ^^;;; But anyway. I thought What Lies Beneath was scarier. They didn’t use scary make-up, either. Well, not as much as in The Ring, anyway. They did a tiny bit.

Actually, I missed one part because I couldn’t stand it and covered my eyes. ^.^ Also, I saw the girl who played Samara when she was on that MTV awards thing. Hm. I saw it last year because of Natalie Portman, and I saw it this year because of tATu. Both times, the reason I watched didn’t come on the screen until the last 25 minutes of the show. -.-;; Anyway. Yeah. She was on that awards show, and she was adorable and couldn’t talk for a while. So that may have made it a bit less scary too …

After it was over Daddy said, “Well, should we get the Japanese version?” Me: “Yeah!” Mommy: “Oh, is there a Japanese version? I don’t think I could watch Japanese horror films. They’re too creepy.”

One time, in 7th or 8th grade, I showed my friend one story from Kwaidan, the “Black Hair” one, it was like 4 in the afternoon, and at the end she freaked out and ran upstairs. O.o I don’t think it’s that creepy … I don’t know, maybe I should watch it again. :D Then again, she tended to exaggerate things to get attention, so I don’t know if she truly was afraid, or if she was just acting it up. But Kwaidan is still creepy, regardless. Watch it! ^__^ “Vastly different from the more overt shocks of Western horror, the film casts a supernatural spell that remains timelessly effective.” (from Amazon.com)

tv; BDC Nina; playing cards

Mommy showed me something in a newspaper, an article on Monk. I have no idea when that show is on. ;-; I haven’t really been watching tv … well not regularly. Sometimes I turn on the tv and see what’s on some channels I like. I don’t watch any regularly scheduled programming. Sometimes I watch .hack//SIGN. When I can remember. When I don’t think I’ll wake up Mommy and Daddy too much. Sometimes I watch Simpsons/King of the Hill during dinner. But that’s it.

Anyway. At the end of Boys Don’t Cry, they started playing a song, and I froze, and thought, ‘Is it really?’ Then she started singing, “The lonesome texas sun was setting low, and in the rearview-mirror I watched it go.” And I was like w00t! Nina Persson! XDD And during the credits I got another shock. Nathan Larsson performed another song in the movie. o.o (You know, I don’t even know what he looks like. I just know he sang What the Hell Are You Crying For? with Nina Persson, and is married to Nina Persson, and was a part of some band that Nina Persson recorded one weeeird song with.)

I was fooling around with my California Angels (playing) cards and I suddenly remembered seeing someone cut the deck in one hand. I mean … they held the deck aloft between their thumb and ring/middle/index finger (I think the pinky was used for balance), then one side of half the deck would fall … and somehow the two sections would get flipped so the deck was cut.

Arrrgh, I can’t remember how it worked. What I remember, though, is spending hours trying to mimic those moves. :b I taught Tadash how dealers at Las Vegas shuffle decks. Even though I myself can’t. >.> I can shuffle cards in midair. Although there’s really no point because everyone can see the cards. ^^;;; And that’s all I can do, really … a pointless feat.

I want a nice deck of cards. The best I have is my California Angels deck. But that’s rather … floppy. Thin paper. But thicker than all my anime decks. The next best deck I have is a Nabisco freebie thing. But those’re too big and slippery. And kinda stiff. ^^;; I’m never satisfied, am I? I’d say my deck from Japan is the best. But noooo, ’tis so nice and prettyful, I can’t ruin that … oh well. After that is this deck from Sequoia. But that doesn’t have a box or anything. :/ Oh well.

Oh yeah. I can shuffle a deck 12 times in one minute. That’s my record. Usually it’s 11 times. I don’t know if that’s good or bad, though, because no one else ever timed how fast they could shuffle. ^.^;; Oh well. Now to find something else to do.
