you and I both know

Okay! Finally. New layout. :b I spent most of my computer time working on this today. *breathes* And I’m so happy! :D Well, okay, I guess it’s a weird layout. >.> I made it, so hey, that explains it. Yup. Anyway … I had bunches of stuff I wanted to say about it. Lessee. I used Adobe Photoshop to make it. :) Well, for the most part. I used PSP to make the red part. ^^;; I’m still more sure of myself in PSP than PS, so … yeah.

I also learned (finally) how to use that image slicer. :D That’s why there’re so many images to load. ^^;; This one site I was looking at said slicing up images doesn’t make it load any faster, but it loads faster in the person’s mind, because the mind fills in the empty parts of the image as it’s loading. I thought that was interesting. But then I looked at the coding that was spilled out x_x and now I wonder, doesn’t that take a longer time to load? Mm. Dunno. Oh well. What else … Side scrolling! Hopefully that doesn’t annoy tooo many people. >_> ^^;;;; Sorry, I just like the look of it. Maybe I’m less annoyed by them because my touchpad lets me scroll sideways on the bottom. ^.^; So sorry.

Um. Look! See gif? Is fading away to the bottom! :D:D I think it was more trouble than it was worth, though. :/ And about the words at the top … I didn’t know what to call it, and “spuger” (kinda like booger :b) came to mind. But then I found out it’s a real thing (Yahoo search) so I changed it to spugey (now like “pukey”). And “reyal” came from me first calling it a royal mess, but I thought that was insulting to any royals, so I changed it to reyal (and I think it’s a word in Spanish, but I didn’t look it up ^^;;). So, yeah, that’s it.

On to the next thing. Mommy reminded me about the thing on channel 5, so I watched it. She knew about it ’cause KTLA Morning News had a spot on it or something. Evanescence was on last. (“You have to watch the lesser bands first,” Mommy said :b) W00t! And Gregory Smith and what’s-her-name hosted it. o.o Yay! Gregory Smith!! XP

Evanescence performed two songs, Going Under and Bring Me to Life. Mommy asked if they were really playing or if it was a recording, because “it sounds so good!” Yaay! :D And I think I wanna be Amy Lee. o_o;; I wanna sing like her; I wanna design clothes like her; I wanna be her. O_o I never wanted to be anyone else before. Oh well. I wanna sing like her!! *cries*

I’m dying again

Cool. I saw the Going Under music video today. :) Weird video. Well, not weird, but it sure made me dizzy watching it. o_o;; The scenes kept changing so quickly. I like Amy Lee’s outfit, though. XD And she sang underwater. o.o I wonder how they did that. Because, well, she was underwater.

I also saw that live performance (on German tv) of Going Under. O_O Wow. Amy Lee’s voice is … so great. On the CD, you can’t hear her real voice, really, with the digital changes, or however it’s done. But live, it blows me away. I wanna sound like her! ;.;

Ooh, and I saw Michelle Branch’s video for Are You Happy Now? Very … colorful. :b It’s not a very interesting video … eye candy, but not much else. Other than the song, of course. Uber good song!

Well. Despite spending almost four hours on Mommy and Daddy’s compi watching music videos and playing Spider Solitaire, I don’t really want to be on the computer. ^_^;; I got to page 250 in Harry Potter last night. I stopped reading around 1:20 or so. Then I couldn’t fall asleep x_x so I sat in my chair until I fell asleep, then at 5 I got up and went to bed. Woke up … I forget when. 1 or 2, I guess …

goldfish blender; kids’ books; cars

On Yahoo! right now: “Dane Acquitted in Goldfish Blender Case” O_O!!!

Mon May 19, 2:12 PM ET

COPENHAGEN, Denmark—A Danish art museum director was acquitted of animal cruelty charges Monday after a court ruled that a display featuring goldfish inside working blenders was not cruel.

The display at the Trapholt Art Museum in Kolding featured 10 blenders and invited visitors to blend the fish if they wanted to. Somebody did in early 2000—and two goldfish were ground up. [X.X]

Animals right activists complained that the exhibit was cruel. Museum director Peter Meyer was fined $315 by police, but he refused to pay and went on trial in Kolding, 125 miles west of the capital, Copenhagen.

Judge Preben Bagger ruled Monday that Meyer did not have to pay the fine because the fish were killed “instantly” and “humanely.” [o_O]

During the two-day trial, a zoologist and a representative of blender manufacturer Moulinex said the fish likely died within a second after the blender started.

It was not known who turned the blenders on.

Yuuck. Do fish go to Heaven? Is there going to be a movie All Fish Go to Heaven? Is that going to be the sequel for Little Nemo? Is it going to be rated G and geared towards kids? See your buddy die and go to Heaven! *ahem* Anyway. I’m being weird. Not out of the ordinary, but still … should keep quiet about. *shifts eyes around room* Keep people from pointing and staring.

We got rid of that book of weird true things. Dangit. I wanted to show Adam that Lizzie Borden story. Owell. I think we also got rid of Grump and Pout. XP I wonder if there was ever a book Mommy and/or Daddy bought specifically because they thought of me when they saw the title. There was Grump and Pout for Mickey, and The Day Henry Cleaned His Room (something like that) for Hidek. Hah. They were funny and mean at the same time. ^.^;;; Hidek got a kick out of it. Mickey was grumpy about his. >b

Anyway. One thing that happened this weekend. Probably one of like two or three things. I was finishing Sybil and I realized it was missing 20–30 pages of the last few chapters. Grrrrrrrrs. Cruel much. I read and read for … how many days? Wednesday, or Thursday, to Sunday, then I can’t read the ENDING. Um. I can pretty much tell what the ending is anyway. >_> But still. It’s all so … unresolved. Which reminds me. How do I return something to Amazon? How do I turn into a pissy unreasonable customer?

Um. Well I started kind of to continue reading Time Enough for Love but then last night I stayed up for about an hour (past 1) reading Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. <.<;;; *coughs*

Hmmm … “Customers who shopped for Asian Americans also shopped for: Strangers from a Different Shore by Ronald Takaki, Asian American Dreams by Helen Zia, Becoming Asian American by Nazli Kibria, A Different Mirror by Ronald T. Takaki, Yellow by Frank H. Wu, and … ‘Fallen’ —Evanescence”

O.o Iiinteresting … I don’t have any money though, anyway.

Yesterday on the way to the mall I noticed how dreary colored and muted colored all the cars are. One lime green Bug drove past while Daddy and I waited at the light. *sigh* Next car I get is gonna be bright red. >D But that probably won’t be for another 9 or 10 years …
