crawl back in

If anyone was wondering …

I’ve got a layout made up. ^__^ I just have to write up the code to insert the entries. Oh, and fix up a stylesheet, and fiddle with the sidebar. The reason why it’s not going up is because I’m working on this [link to animated gif]. I’m gonna put that up between the entries. And uh yeah, it’s a side-scrolling layout. >_> I’m trying to make that gif look like it’s dribbling down and fading into black. I think my eyes are dying. I’ve got bars semi-burned into my retinas. Or whatever. And the backs of my eyeballs feel tight. x_x Ouchies. Why do I always do this to myself?

And the music I’ve listened to today: Chevelle’s Wonder What’s Next; Creedence Clearwater Revival’s 20 Greatest Hits (Mommy wanted me to listen to it); random music files I have; Michelle Branch’s Hotel Paper (a couple times); Evanescence’s Fallen; and now I’m listening to Coldplay’s A Rush of Blood to the Head.

I think I feel sick. x.x;;

wish I had your faults

x_x Okay, I’m working on a new layout for fs.net, because a certain someone said it’s hard to read. *sticks tongue out* But I’m going to put the Yukari layout up on IAT. :b I was going to, anyway, ’cause I thought it was such a nice layout … Back to what I was saying …

So on this layout, I’m trying to … um, make the text wrap around a portion of the layout. But guess what I found out? IE has some margin around the pic. Netscape doesn’t. So I either have a black, thick line go down the middle of the layout in IE, or have the pic look misaligned in NS. *stabstab* I don’t understand why IE even has that margin. I didn’t understand why the pics weren’t lining up at first until I took in the factor that Microsoft is stoopid. *kicks MS and IE and smacks them*

:( I really thought it was a neat idea for a layout. IE is mean and ugly and stupid. I’m bored with blog layouts lately. It seems like they’re all the same. Picture in one area, log in a column below or on the side, info bar in another column below or on the side. Or just a table with an image at top.

Well anyway. Last night I watched this episode of Driven on VH1 about Christina Aguilera. She sang like that when she was young. o_o Wow. Not that I enjoy her voice when she does that, though … This one hate site I went to (I forget why I went there, but it was pretty good, half was substantial reasoning, the other half was crud) called what she does “voice acrobatics.” I thought that was nifty. I don’t like it when she does her voice acrobatics. :) I like “Beautiful.” And in “Fighter” she doesn’t do it that much. And I can’t remember much else of her music.

Mommy saw what I was watching and she said, “Who are her PR agents? They’re doing a lousy job. They’ve got her stripping half naked.” And I told her, “That’s what she wants to do.” And she said, “Oh.” Well, uhh, I liked Christina Aguilera more after I saw that show, but I can’t remember why. I don’t like her songs or her singing any more than I did before, though. And I couldn’t help noticing that she pinches her nose up, and scrunches up her upper lip, sometimes when she does her voice acrobatics. Yucks.

Oh yeah. I’m supposed to be looking into pMachine, aren’t I? >_> *hasn’t done any such thing* *is lazy* … *runs*

it’s kind of a drag, dragging scrollbars

I just spent a loong while making a layout. I’m not sure how long. I suppose since some time after dinner. At least 4 hours, I guess. I started out with a really big image. It’s still a pretty big image. Something like 550×975. ^^;;; I was fixing for it to be a table layout. Like a bloggy thing. Of course.

But now I think, even though I’ve managed to slice it up into 5 gifs and one jpg, that’s it’s too much to download. Plus, I don’t like the continuing bg I’ve got going behind it. ^^;; Uugly. So I started using scrolling divs.

Having two scrolling sections on a page always annoyed me. Especially if the text scrolling section was much taller than my browser window, so to read the top of the page I have to scroll up in one section, then scroll up in the other. Same for the bottom of the page, except I’m going down.

And uhh … long story sort of cut short … now I’m gonna remake the layout somehow to make it more of a frames-ish layout. >_> Gee, isn’t this fun. (Well actually it is, kinda. ^^;;; The not-fun part is that it’s not going up tonight.)

Actually, I don’t even know where I’m going to put it up. Here, my journal, IAT, or maybe even another site. See, I was making it for my journal. But then I started to like it too much to keep it on a backpage like that. ^^;; And here, I just put up this layout. (Even though I don’t like it that much and if I don’t put the layout up here I’ll probably make a new layout for this place pretty soon.)

Decisions, decisions. Ah well. Anyway. I just realized something today. On this page (not anymore, after I post this) I had a month’s worth of entries. o_o;;; April 7th to May 7th. Aiiieee. I’ve gotta post more. ^^; I’m trying to not write in my journal as much. But then I just end up not saying anything at all.

Actually, I don’t have much to say anyway. Just stuff that I did during the day. *yawn* How boring. No interesting thoughts come to my mind. Maybe I should sit down here and ramble on and on like I used to. I think I’m starting to right now. ^.^;;

Oh well. It’s late. I keep trying to go to bed at a reasonable time so I can wake up at a reasonable time and not feel all yucky when I wake up, but so far it’s not happening.

layouts, colors

Please come with me
See what I see
Touch the stars for time will not flee

I noticed lately that a lot of my layouts up have black and red. IAT with Michelle Branch, my lj with the bloody splotches, this blog with the reddish CG, and my diary with the “crimson stain.” It’s a rather interesting observation. Isn’t it? I don’t think this has any scary implications, but then again, things are kind of getting to me. :/ Oh, nothing really horrible, I’m still so happy and content with my life. ^_^ Even if I am with SM00 5 days a week. :b I’m kidding.

Hm, in the last month or two … I’ve made eight layouts. Two are grey, four are black with red in it, one is (was, actually) red with black in it, one is rather pnik *rolleyes*, and one was blackish with peppermintiness. Do I even like to make bright layouts? That’s a rather interesting question … 40–46, light layouts leading. ^.^;; But again, I count the nondark layouts as light ones, so drab grey ones would be counted as light layouts. Yeh … I don’t ever use candy colors or anything. :/ Rarely, but that’s when it fits the picture.

new layout

Wheeeee!!! *dances* I finished the new layout! I spent almost a whole day working on it, fixing it, changing it, and although it’s completely mirrored of what I originally planned it to look like, it looks good. ^u^ I may get tired of the gray before winter comes, though (I got tired of it on my old MLD layout). *sigh* I also had to crop off a lot of the tree branches on >that> pic. ;_; But I like the nice scrolly-ness of this layout. Heehee.
