poli … something; and nonwireless laptop, Christmas

“Kerry may have been too much identified with the Hollywood left and I think that hurt him,” said Republican political analyst Allen Hoffenblum.

“Clinton could get away with it because voters already knew who he was and they just saw him as being starry-eyed. They never perceived him as being a left-winger.

“But when Kerry surrounded himself with Whoopi Goldberg and Barbra Streisand and Bruce Springsteen and Michael Moore, many voters concluded ‘well, this guy must be a real liberal,”‘ Hoffenblum said.

That’s too bad. Hm. Oh well. I think Michael Moore is a bit of an idiot. :b Barbra Streisand? I think I’m far too influenced by the South Park guys concerning her. haha

Anyway. Other news. I forget what I’ve said here and what I haven’t. But that’s not news. Uh. I found out that my laptop starts up slow because of my wireless network adaptor card thingie. Or at least I hope that’s it, because I’ve updated the network driver and everything else associated with connections, so if the new card that Daddy ordered doesn’t work … then it means I’m stuck with this cable/LAN connection which is really sensitive and disconnects with the slightest movement. And it only goes as far as … Hidek’s desk, Daddy’s nightstand (which is right inside his room), and the living room almost directly below the catwalk. Which is entirely too public an area for me. ^_^;;

The new card was supposed to come today … that’s what the shipping company said online. But it didn’t. So I won’t be able to get it until next weekend. :(

I read another article today! It’s not really a news article. Just something. Read about Steve Lopez’s switch to the conservative side. (Psst, BugMeNot.com for a login) If anyone was curious, I don’t agree with him on everything in that article. Nyeh. :b

And no, this isn’t becoming a political commentary journal or anything …

Bush/Kerry masks

Reflecting national opinion polls, the sale of Bush and Kerry masks is evenly divided.

“It’s a tie, hard to say who is ahead,” Peterson [store manager] said.

But a costume company that has tracked national sales of candidates’ masks in previous election has Bush leading Kerry 54 to 46 percent.

The company, www.Buycostumes.com, tracked the sales of 12 stores and five mask makers in the United States.

In 2000, Bush masks led Democratic vice president Al Gore’s masks 57 to 43 percent. Four years earlier, President Bill Clinton masks outsold those of Republican Bob Dole 56 to 44 percent. Ronald Reagan masks were ahead of then president Jimmy Carter masks in the 1980 election.

Darn. :b And Sylvia Browne keeps saying Bush is going to win, although she hopes she’s wrong (because she’s human and therefore not perfect … about the wrong part, not about the hoping Bush doesn’t win part).

knucklecracking

Euwww, got this from something on MSN about knuckle cracking:

The sound you’re hearing is actually two sounds (researchers put microphones up to knuckles to confirm this). The first sound happens when you pull your joint and create a bubble. The second sound is the bubble popping. Joints are where two separate bones meet. Ligaments and connective tissue hold them together, in kind of a bath of thick fluid. When you pull apart a joint, it creates extra space for the fluid. So, that first bubble forms. When the bubble appears, the liquid pushes back on the ligaments, snapping them back into place.

:O I didn’t take any course on the human body; I didn’t know there was a “thick fluid” between joints. It’s things like this that make me not want to move … *coughweirdcough*

My thumb knuckle hurt for the longest time today. :( After math. :b

social security, money, tv, websites

“Social Security reform to drive up debt”

Okay now would be a good time to die because I could never own a home in LA (where I WANT to live) and have a good job with benefits and blahblahblah and I’m just gonna die from starvation ’cause my social security check will buy me jack sh—. That’s called thinking of my future. ;b

Aaanyway … it was windy today. Is windy today. Fun. Especially carrying my art portfolio around … and I hope I never have to take another artsy class ever again.

But anyway … shall stop rambling pointlessly and start rambling pointfully … semi-pointfully … whatever. EVERWOOD IS ON TONIGHT! Wait, nevermind, it’s a sex episode … boring. Not like the other episodes weren’t boring either, but nyeh. Although I liked the Nina storyline … which is odd ’cause that’s the first time I’ve ever remembered her name … *blink*

Okay! Points(full): I got hosting for inangeling-dot-net. I don’t have money for hosting for fs.net. Actually, I didn’t have money for inangeling-dot-net either … but nevermind that fact. ^^;; So since I kinda give up my blog at the moment I’ma gonna point fs.net to a subdomain on inangeling-dot-net. That means no hostees on fs.net. Sorry. I also just realized I only get one ftp account. ^^;;; WHOOPS!

I’m also debating whether I should put hotlink protection on inangeling-dot-net again. I moved my Sailor Mars gallery back to Geocities. Yeah, I was overjoyed this weekend when I realized I hadn’t deleted the 100+ images when I moved. XP;; But I still have all my fanlistings on inangeling-dot-net. And, well, I’ve never had a run-in with people taking stuff from me, but … I dunno, whatever.

Something else that made me overjoyed this weekend: I remembered my homestead account. :b Because I feel guilty hotlinking from my Comcast homepage (although I’m still doing it >b). Oh yeah. I have to put my moodtheme somewhere. @_@ Homestead has that f’kin annoying upload thing. Comcast, aforementioned guilt. Inangeling-dot-net, that hotlinking thing.

I just want you to know

Spread of ‘Sobig.F’ Internet Virus Declared Fastest Ever

Ahh, so that’s what that is. >_< And the trojan thing kinda scares me. I know almost nothing about them, so that’s why. But it’s too late to go find info about them.

** Thirty-three percent of those polled thought teacher salaries were “just about right.” (from Yahoo)

They thought WHAT?! >.< Dang cheapskate taxpayers. Stupid tax system that gives little money to education.

Hm, I think I’m gonna ask Mommy why my high school US Gov’t book said that a public school system is bad. I forget why.

Also, made this graphic. Heh. It’s nothing bleeping amazing. :b And I’ve still gotta work on the glowy effect around her hands. But I like it. When I’m done, I’m putting it in [EW (link to art site)]. Finally! Something actually new to add! ^-^;;

I’m also think of splitting the visual and written parts of that site apart, then adding a link from the writing site to l.s. Why? I dunno. The idea was planted by this clique that I was interested in. It said I had to have a link to a place where my writing is. And I didn’t know if EW would qualify, being that half (or over half) of that site is my art. ^^;; But I don’t know. I might just take the lazy way out and not do it. XP

But if I do do it, there was something someone (maybe Dream) said in The Sandman that caught my eye. I might keep EW (change the name a bit) and keep it as some passageway to either site. Then I’d call my art Black Light and written stuff Blood Letters. O.o I just realized both of them are BL. ^_^;;;;;; And the problem with using those names is that I was gonna use Black Light for my wallpaper site (if I ever actually put it up o_O *doesn’t enjoy the thought of putting up her wallpapers*), and I’d have to come up with another name if I do the split. Oh well, something to think about tomorrow during classes. :P
