I finally saw Howl’s Moving Castle this weekend. Despite not really being interested in it when I first heard about it (from Neil Gaiman’s blog, actually), I loved it! :D Now I feel like reading the book. XD Because, you know, books are generally better than the movies that are based on them. Even if Hayao Miyazaki did the movie.

vacation, all I ever wanted
I had to turn off the commenting for non-registered peoples ’cause that casino spam bot thing found this site and has been posting ads all over my entries … grrrs. Sorry.
Hm … technically the end of my first week of vacation … hehe. What have I done … lots of computer stuff of course, cleaned my room closet and desk (yay, more space!), went to the dentist (he was an extra in Memoirs of a Geisha!), bought a Blender magazine with Gwen Stefani on the cover … I guess that’s pretty much it.
I haven’t seen Closer yet. :( I thought we were going Thursday but then when I said, “So we’re going to Century City after my dentist’s appointment?” Mommy had no idea what I was talking about. She would have been willing to go except Hidek said he had to go to Mitsuwa to buy sushi for a party he had in one class or another on Friday. So … meh. We’re gonna go Monday.
My new CD player for my car finally came in! XD We’re gonna go get it Monday. I just hope they can give me my CD back. *nervous*
I set up this fake account in Quicken so I could figure out what kind of stuff I buy … I’m not really done yet, I have to figure in my checking account … and I know I’m missing many receipts … but in the past 4 years and a half (because yes I am a freak and saved most all my receipts in that time), I’ve spent the most on … well that would be education (over $1000), but ignoring that one … the most I’ve spent on is … anime and anime merchandise!!! Is that such a big surprise? :b Over six hundred freaking dollars! But keep in mind that DVDs and artbooks cost mucho bucks. Also, I probably bought a lot of music online that I don’t have a recording for, so it wasn’t counted in … I spent about $300 each on CDs, manga, and books. I don’t remember the number for comics, but it’s probably lower than it should be as well, since I don’t have recordings for about half the Sandman comics I bought (five of them, each being about $20). I think I spent $100 on clothes, but that is veeery skewed since Mum and Daddy pay for my clothes. hehe. ^^
Anyway … that was probably boring to everyone else but me. Oh well. *grin*

Some little things:
- I don’t know why I can comment on SM00’s blog some times, and other times I can’t.
- I can’t figure out how to make GM build my old archived entries. So only entries 230-now work, and only the month of February works. >.<
- Entry 227 is marked as “closed” even though the entry saved on my hard drive is marked as “open” and no matter how many times I upload the one on my hard drive to my website it still says it’s “closed” in GM.
- All the other entries that aren’t viewable are all marked as “extended entries.” Even though when I go to edit the darn things, there is absolutely nothing in the “more” section.
- Oh yeah. New archives layout. It’s Chevelle. :) I’m liking their song Comfortable Liar. Not the lyrics, just the music. ^_^ Same with Jimmy Eat World’s “Get It Faster.” I don’t favor the lyrics, but I looove the music. Get It Faster is playing on KROQ now. XD So much fun.
- I know absolutely nothing about Sakurazawa Erika, and yet I was accepted by the TFL to run the fanlisting. >_> ^^; Hey, I wanna join the fanlisting, but one doesn’t exist. So … I’ll make one! Even though I didn’t know her name was Sakurazawa Erika … <.< *coughcough*
- I figured out why the borders wouldn’t show up in Mozilla/Netscape. It was ’cause I had “1” instead of “1px.” ^^;; Stupid accomodating MSIE.

Nothing But Loving You
I read Nothing But Loving You last night. I don’t get it. She fell in love with a gorgeous male model but he couldn’t leave his boyfriend. She ended up not being in love with him anymore, but still feeling so calm around him. That part I get. The part I don’t get is, she had this actor hanging around her. He absolutely adored her and she just used him for sex. She thought he was obnoxious. In the end she says she’ll marry him.

I feel BLAH. So. Yeah. I’m kinda in that mood where I’m annoyed ’cause my old entries all show the same date. ¬_¬ I mean, I know it was like that. I’ve known since … I dunno … maybe after I converted to shtml. ^^; Now whenever I rebuild my entry files the date changes to that date. Soo … I last rebuilt my entry pages in October. Yeah. I knew about the problem before then. And for some reason it annoys me right now.
Oh well. Endore sent me an e-mail that I read today saying they’re deleting all files on the servers that are named “formmail.whatever” ’cause of spambots. ¬¬ So now I have to install Formmail on my own (and name the script something other than formmail). But I dun wanna. And I don’t want to install PHPFanbase for each fanlisting, ’cause then I’d have to add each and every single member to the list. x_X Unless I felt like being buggy and saying, “You. Rejoin the fanlisting because I’m too lazy to add you.”
Instead of doing any of those things I spent maybe 15–30 minutes writing a note explaining I won’t update until after the 15th (last day I have finals), and linking to that page from every formmail join page I have. (Only my Lisa Loeb and Miwako fanlistings are run by PHPFanbase.)
Uh. Stuck for what else to say. I got The Ring manga. ^^; It has an eye on the cover. And it’s staring at me right now. O.o Scaary.
You know … I would get a Borders card … and I found out today how to get there. ^^ (It’s like … go to Westside Pavilion … then drive past it until you get to … a street that starts with the letter R. Then turn right.) But then it’s muuch farther than I want to drive to a so-called local bookstore.
And I might get a Barnes and Noble card. But for some reason I just don’t go there often. Even though it’s about half the distance of Borders. It’s also less than half the manga selection that Borders has. :b Ooh, burned!
At Borders I was looking at Neil Gaiman books (veeery tiny selection o_o and absolutely no Neverwhere books XP), Robert A. Heinlein books (whoa, he wrote a lot o.o saw a few books I wanna read later ^^), manga (o’ course), aand … Sandman books! (Of course! :b)
I saw these old versions of Preludes & Nocturnes. o_o That was weird. What, do all the Borders customers already have the first Sandman collection? XD Then I stared at the 7, 9, and 10 they had. They also had lots of Sandman: King of Dreams. ^_^ Oh yeah, I saw that Sandman: Book of Dreams. -.- (Bad story behind the production.) And they had The Sandman Companion. o_o I wanted! I was gonna get it. But then I didn’t have enough money. ;_; Even without it, I had to borrow $11.84 from Mommy. They also had The Last Temptation. Wow. Cheap comic. ^_^;; Black and white (or yellow, considering they used newspaper quality paper *rolleyes*).
