everything will be just fine

I’m trying to write more in here. I think I don’t write in here because I don’t like the cgi files building up on my site. ^.^;;;

I downloaded a Taipei game. Wheee. ^-^ I haven’t played since we got rid of that IBM … (which Grandpa bought, which we got in like 1990, which cost $5,000 o.O which had Windows 3.1) And I have to say … WAS THAT GAME ALWAYS THIS HARD???? T-T I’ve played two games … and I haven’t won either of them. u.u;;

“Nothing’s so loud as hearing when we lie. Truth is not kind. And you’ve said neither am I.” — Toad the Wet Sprocket

Wow, that song is rather nice… Never heard the beginning before.

the evening speaks, I feel it say…
nothing’s so cold
as closing the heart when all we need
is to free the soul
but we wouldn’t be that brave I know

But I don’t like the chorus much. “ALL I want is to FEEL this way, to BE this close, to FEEL the same.” O_o

IE and NS complaints

IE ish cruel. -.- I clicked on some javascript popup window link at some site, and it froze, so I CTRL+ALT+DEL it, and open a new window and go to the same site, click on another (regular) link and it freezes again. Grrrs. Open a new window, go to a different site (I was looking for dark red or “black” roses), click ONE link and it freezes. >_<!!

Well after that I lost count. But it mainly consisted of me opening new windows, clicking links, and CTRL+ALT+DELs. Yup. I just wish Netscape were smoother to use. Hard to explain what I mean. Well, for example, ya gotta click the address bar twice to select a certain part of the url, I guess. Also, my mouse touchpad’s scrolling thing doesn’t work with Netscape 7. -_- Umm, what else? I dunno, it just seems to work more slowly … Yucks.

Windows ME and a search engine hit

I don’t like Windows ME. It made me kick the compi! Well, I never really liked this compi anyway. I guess I liked it when it was new. But now it’s all old. Hm. I wonder how old it is. I suppose this summer it’ll be three years old. Well anyway.

I was 1: talking to Adam; 2: reading blogs; and 3: browsing Launch Yahoo! thingimabobber. Oh yes. I was looking through the music videos, and went back one page, then it caused some error in some thing, so it closed. Then the music video window caused an error, so that closed, and I gave up and read blogs again.

But there was still a window thingie in the taskbar (if that makes any sense …) but it was blank; the window was just called “Music Videos.” So I clicked on it, and then the IE window with the blog caused an error in something, and then AIM caused an error in KRNL382.EXE (something like that …). ARGH.

Everything was still on the screen, too; the desktop wasn’t showing. I started clicking on windows and nothing happened so I went to restart and it did that Program running thingie, so I said End Task. Waited, nothing. Did that oh maybe three more times.

I started kicking the Start button on the computer because I decided music videos weren’t worth the trouble and that I’d go on my laptop. Nothing. So then I kicked the restart button and waited for the scandisk to finish, and Adam had signed off. ;_; So mean. Windows, I mean, not him.

Hm. One upside to all the problems (or I should just say problem, as far as I can tell all the problems are with the video card thing) on my laptop is that there’s no scanning of the disk when I forcefully shut the thing down. >D ^^;;;

Also. I seem to have gotten a referral from Google for “time pass on net.” Hm. O_o Wha? *ponders about the day when she gets a search engine hit for “wasting time on net”* XP;; Well anyway. I went to the results page for the search. It seems I’m listed second. o.O Right. But something more odd. Under the title, where they put the text that was hit with that search, it says

“… e-mail: @flimsysilence-dot-net @hotmail.com @planet-save.com >-save … faked sick for a long period of time (longer than … get a FREE copy of the BACKSTAGE PASS CD-ROM …”

O.O!!! Whaaaa?! Faked sick? Me?! XP Hah. But then, what are CAPS doing in any sort of relation to one of my sites??? Especially the word “free” and the words “backstage pass” in caps!! O_O;;

*later* Ah, I found out the answer. o.o; *pats Greymatter search function* *huggles it* ^-^’ (note: Livejournal doesn’t have a search function. ¬_¬ or at least not as far as I can tell) CAPS: something about a music show on tv? and faked sick (referring to Hidek :b it wasn’t me!)

laptop troubles, “Portibal”

AAARRRRGH!! >.< *whacks her laptop* I don’t wanna whack it, but I don’t know what’s wrong with it. ^_^;; *pats laptop* I guess I have to talk to Daddy about … nvidia thingimabobber … the blue screen (with a black border) said if it was the first time it happened, turn off the computer and start all over again. But if it had happened before, to contact … someone … to see if my drivers were correctly installed. o_o Did I do something wrong? I hope not. :b Of course. But anyway.

The last two times it froze, it just froze, absolutely. Even my music stopped playing. And when I took away all the power sources, and restarted it, the laptop didn’t seem messed up … *koff* Or at least as far as I can tell.

Euww, I hope the fact that I was at Diaryland the last two times the laptop froze doesn’t mean a thing. Really truly seriously. *hugs diaryland* You couldn’t do anything horrible, oh no, not you.

I feel like naming my laptop. :b “The laptop” and “my laptop” are getting boring and repetitive. But I can’t think of anything to name it. Aii. Well. Something to ponder about. :D

screen crash; tv questionnaire

explode? or implode? *flips a coin*

>_< THAT WINDOWS UPDATE THING DID NOTHING! Nothing, I say!! Aaaarrrrgh! My stupid display is still dangflabbin freezing!! Whyyyy?!?! And it never happens at home, nooo. Of course, the perfect time for Daddy to check it out and fix it for little me, because, poor me, I have no idea what’s going on. And neither does Auntie. eeeegh. Stupid blahbby thing. *whacks*

Well anyway, back to what I was doing earlier. -_-

1. How many TVs do you have in your home?
Five. I didn’t pay for any of them, though, considering my “home” is my parents’ home … and it’s not all that grand that the number makes it out to be, two of the TVs are over 15 years old, and one of them is over 5 years old. The other two were bought in the last year and … umm … 4 or so years ago.

2. On average, how much TV do you watch in a week?
Erm. I guess four. Considering I kinda pay attention to DBZ.

3. Do you feel that television is bad for young children?
*shrugs* I grew up watching television. Not too much, though. Hey, it fed my and my brothers’ imaginations. It gave us something to “play.” :) We even had a game called “television.” :D That was uber fun, yo.

4. What TV shows do you absolutely HAVE to watch, and if you miss them, you’re heartbroken?
Monk, and Everwood, and 7th Heaven too, I guess … and yeah I know I just mentioned my whole tv schedule. :b

5. If you had the power to create your own television network, what would your line-up look like?
Uhh, I dunno, this is interesting … I don’t know what it’d look like … I guess it’d have stuff from KTLA5, Nick, TVLand, movie channels (TCM toooo!!), Discovery, History, and TLC. Toss in programs from the Asian channel :b and anime shows and CSI and Monk and and and I don’t know …
