*rant* stupid mouse, comp troubles

Last night I had trouble turning the computer off. I tried to shut down, it had that “something is busy, waiting for something, do you want to wait, or continue shutting down” kind of message. I clicked wait, and of course it didn’t work. I clicked cancel, then tried again but I went through the same thing, then tried CTRL ALT Del to close whatever was waiting for a response, but then the computer froze, and unfroze, and I couldn’t even shut down through the start menu or C+A+D. So I just pushed the start button on the compi because I was tired. ¬¬

Now the mouse doesn’t work. The scroll wheel isn’t recognized. I looked through Control Panel, and the compi doesn’t even recognize the option of a mouse with a scroll wheel. And it keeps tripping me up. I use the wheel and get no response, then remember, ‘Oh yeah, it doesn’t work’ so I click on the window then try the wheel again. ^_^; Then I move the mouse to grab the scrollbar and get really annoyed.

reading late

Last night, or this morning, I stayed up until 6:15 am reading The Books of Fell. ^.^ I’ve stayed up until 3 (maybe 4) reading books, but never so close to the time I’m supposed to wake up on weekdays. I read about 400 pages in 6 hours and 45 minutes. 405 minutes. That’s about a page a minute, my usual reading speed. That’s amazing, because I kept rereading the same paragraphs for a while … ^_^;; So I guess that is my ultimate midnight rendezvous?

One time I remember, I told myself I’d never stay up late reading Harry Potter, it wasn’t worth it (still in my I’m-not-into-fads mode) and so when I got to the fourth book, I read the first half in one night. ^_^; I thought, ‘Okay, go to bed now, and you’ll never stay up half the night reading a Harry Potter book.’ So I did. Then skipped schoolwork the next day to finish it. ^.^ Ohoho …

Wulfie’s toy tree

Mommy’s been striving to put up the Christmas decorations since Sunday. She said she’s going to put the tree up slowly, so the cats will get tired of it and won’t wreck it like they did last year (tree branches all over the place, shame, and the letter tags removed and lost). Guess what. I saw Wulfie climbing up the stand to the top of the tree. <_< I stared at him and said, “Wulfie?!” He jumped off and was hyper for a few minutes afterward.

GameCube has entered the house

Daddy the kid and Hidek Daddy’s son bought GameCube, when they went out only to buy the last umm what’s-it-called, that game where you steal a car and have to run away from the police. O.o That is odd. Especially since this guy came in the store to ask if they have one, and they said yes, but you have to buy a game with it before Christmas, or slt. So he left. And they bought one. It’s purple. They got THPS ## ?_? and Rogue Leader (or Squadron, I dunno). I can’t believe they didn’t get Wave Race … *sigh*
