just getting sidetracked…

Getting sidetracked. ^^;; I don’t really feel like writing my chem report. >_>

Anyway. Yesterday I tried using the cable to connect my laptop and it worked relatively nicely. I just couldn’t move anything. It was good until my brother sat on the cable because he was playing GCN and the cable was in the area he usually puts his chair. So I got disconnected and couldn’t reconnect for a while … So! Today I decided to suck it up and just put in the wireless card … it started up in maybe an hour? That part wasn’t so bad, I just read stuff, but then I couldn’t pick up on any wireless signals. I restarted, still couldn’t get a connection. Didn’t feel like working on that lithium report, so I went on Mum and Daddy’s comp. Aaaand … voila!

9. Richard Petty Driving Experience
6975 Speedway Blvd Ste D106, Las Vegas, NV
Put the pedal down at the Speedway and top 100 mph without fear of being pulled over.–10 Things to Do in Vegas Before You Die.

I wanna try that! Muahahahahaha!!! … On Thursday I saw one car pulled over on the freeway and then a few minutes later I saw another car get pulled over … made me all paranoid so I was going 65/70 in the third lane. ^^;; I’m sure I annoyed people behind me. Too bad. Seriously. The one and two lanes were open … go around me!! And I got better mileage than they did! >D

I was looking at those things to do lists because I thought they’d have better stuff … like in Sacramento I’d do about half the things they listed. But for LA I’d only do one or two things. There is much more to LA than Hollywood and clubs, seriously. That’s what annoys me about my chem class, they talk about LA in the superficial sense. :b

Other thing: I saw Gwen Stefani’s “Harajuku Girls” performance. First, what the egl community said (on lj): generally that Gwen is bad or that one song is bad, musically (I don’t disagree ^^;), and that she terribly warped egl and that all her fans will be getting into Japanese fashion through her version, but that also she didn’t specify which fashion style she liked … yeah, that’s pretty much it. What I say: meh. Gwen Stefani’s skirt was kinda lolita-ish, but other than that … it seemed more like she was talking about other styles.

Oh yeah. People in the egl comm said she name-dropped at the end of the song. I couldn’t really understand what she was saying after a while, so I didn’t catch that part. ^_^;; I think, at least partially, that she just really likes this style, and wanted to spread it around. egl-ers are just really strict about their fashion sometimes. :b I was thinking that way for a little while … ‘Oh, you can’t wear/do that, that’s not real egl!’ But after a while I stopped wanting to wear egl so much (because it costs so much if you don’t sew your own clothes ;.;) and I just accepted whatever fashion I could get.

Now I’m just … well firstly I don’t think I’m brave enough to wear the clothes I really want to. :b~ Secondly all I can really buy is what’s at the mall. Thirdly I don’t have enough time to learn how to sew, and fourthly I don’t want to go to thrift stores. The only one I know about is on W-street and I don’t want to drive there. hah

But yesterday I bought this long swooshy black skirt that kinda reminds me of something Amy Lee would wear (but is NOT the reason I bought it)!! :D At the moment I’m wondering if I have black tights that I could wear underneath another skirt I bought (and have yet to wear) and with my boots.

we’re the north pole

Tadash: “We only have the Kings a little south of us.”
Me: “South?”
Tadash: “Yeah, they’re in Anaheim.”
Me: “Anaheim is south of us?”
Tadash: “Yeah, it’s in Orange County.”
Me: “Orange County is south?”
Tadash: “Yeah.” *weird look*
Me: “I used to think everything was north.”
Tadash: “There’s nothing north of us! It’s just boring flat farms.”

I have very bad directional skills. :b I just learned like a year or two ago that San Diego was south of us … and today I learn that Anaheim is south too! Ehehe … Well at least I’m sure that Mexico is still south of us.

I guess Torrance is south too. And … I forget what the names of those cities were. Mum and Daddy and I went to a Lowe’s there. (I only went so they’d go to Best Buy and get me the Garden State soundtrack, but Best Buy didn’t have it. -.-)

*pokes Poke*

Wow. *twitchtwitch* Mozilla and IE can take the same exact coding (absolute positioning) and have a difference of ONE PIXEL. *twitch* I can’t tell which one is off, either, because it involves text and I can’t really tell where the top of the line of text is. Grr.

Hidek said to me today, “If you were sorry, you wouldn’t have done it.” Messed up logic. I dunno. That just confused me for a while. ^^;;

Mum and I went to the mall today and we went in this store that sells junky stuff and we saw these, er, things. Like, stuffed animals/figurines/statues/whatever. Well. They were cat/dog/chicken things, and we think they had real fur/feathers covering them. That was really weird. Ooh! That store also had these neat cards. They all had stick figures and speech bubbles, very simple in black and white. This one said, “Congratulations on your marriage, and I hope you have many …” on the front and “anniversaries” inside. Another one said something like, “Sometimes during the day I like to sit and think …” then on the inside “about you.” So cute. ^^

Well anyway. East Wind closed at the mall (albeit a long time ago, but I’m trying to make a point here), but we found this other food place that was there since as long as I can remember that changed its menu (and maybe its management), so now it serves shrimp and sushi! XD No noodle place yet, though. ¬_¬ Westside Pavilion and Thousand Oaks mall and the outlet mall all get noodles, but this mall doesn’t. Boo.

Yeah, I think that’s it. Oh yeah. I spent $220 on books. Er. Schoolbooks. And I bought a new copy of Hot Gimmick vol. 2. Now I have only a bunch of singles in cash. And I need to save up $300 before next semester to put back in my checking account. Ah, back to school and having no money.

(Last night I read a few of the first pages of both Mary, Called Magdalene, and Raise the Red Lantern, and they’re both soso good, and yet I’m still raging against the fact that no money means no books!! Wah!)

social security, money, tv, websites

“Social Security reform to drive up debt”

Okay now would be a good time to die because I could never own a home in LA (where I WANT to live) and have a good job with benefits and blahblahblah and I’m just gonna die from starvation ’cause my social security check will buy me jack sh—. That’s called thinking of my future. ;b

Aaanyway … it was windy today. Is windy today. Fun. Especially carrying my art portfolio around … and I hope I never have to take another artsy class ever again.

But anyway … shall stop rambling pointlessly and start rambling pointfully … semi-pointfully … whatever. EVERWOOD IS ON TONIGHT! Wait, nevermind, it’s a sex episode … boring. Not like the other episodes weren’t boring either, but nyeh. Although I liked the Nina storyline … which is odd ’cause that’s the first time I’ve ever remembered her name … *blink*

Okay! Points(full): I got hosting for inangeling-dot-net. I don’t have money for hosting for fs.net. Actually, I didn’t have money for inangeling-dot-net either … but nevermind that fact. ^^;; So since I kinda give up my blog at the moment I’ma gonna point fs.net to a subdomain on inangeling-dot-net. That means no hostees on fs.net. Sorry. I also just realized I only get one ftp account. ^^;;; WHOOPS!

I’m also debating whether I should put hotlink protection on inangeling-dot-net again. I moved my Sailor Mars gallery back to Geocities. Yeah, I was overjoyed this weekend when I realized I hadn’t deleted the 100+ images when I moved. XP;; But I still have all my fanlistings on inangeling-dot-net. And, well, I’ve never had a run-in with people taking stuff from me, but … I dunno, whatever.

Something else that made me overjoyed this weekend: I remembered my homestead account. :b Because I feel guilty hotlinking from my Comcast homepage (although I’m still doing it >b). Oh yeah. I have to put my moodtheme somewhere. @_@ Homestead has that f’kin annoying upload thing. Comcast, aforementioned guilt. Inangeling-dot-net, that hotlinking thing.

chores; trip to Sunset Blvd; fonts

Let’s see … what did I do today … I got my glasses adjusted. Now they sit on top of my nose and don’t slide down! Yay! I had to do the laundry so that Mum would take me to the optometrist (since I still don’t know how to get there u.u;;) and help me clean my car (ick! it got black bird poop all over it on Sunday! ;.;). Then I read the first half of the econ chapter and wrote down the terms. ^^;; Then I got tired of reading so I rearranged my small bookshelf. Took down half my Star Wars novels; they’re sitting in a box in the middle of my room. I need to fit them in my closet somehow. But now I have space for more manga! XDDD

After dinner Hidek bugged Mum and Daddy to take him to Amoeba Music. So the whole family went. There was lots of pouting on Hidek’s part. ^.^; He wanted to bring his friends, but Mum said no, this time would be family only. So … we drove along Sunset Boulevard! XD (No, I, as a native Los Angelino, do not get around the city much.) In Hollywood. On a Saturday night. o.o Looots of traffic. Looots of abrupt braking, too. -.- I got carsick. So. Tonight I saw three different tattoo parlors and three different buildings with “Girls Girls Girls” on the front. :b Ooh, at Amoeba Music I saw this girl, and she was wearing this skirt, and it was … I automatically think, “ballerina skirt,” but it wasn’t really … it covered her thighs. I thought it was soooo cool. ^-^ In all its pouffy glory. XD

Then came home and put up lj layout.

I downloaded three fonts tonight. And deleted almost 20. (They were the cutesy round ones I got when I first got into downloading fonts.) I got … uhh … Misplaced, Lakestreet, and … I can’t remember the third. Cut n Paste. Yeah. I really really wanted to get Dark Theater, but it’s a broken link. -_- Arrgh. Ooh, also got Sacrifical. :D Niiice.
