just getting sidetracked…

Getting sidetracked. ^^;; I don’t really feel like writing my chem report. >_>

Anyway. Yesterday I tried using the cable to connect my laptop and it worked relatively nicely. I just couldn’t move anything. It was good until my brother sat on the cable because he was playing GCN and the cable was in the area he usually puts his chair. So I got disconnected and couldn’t reconnect for a while … So! Today I decided to suck it up and just put in the wireless card … it started up in maybe an hour? That part wasn’t so bad, I just read stuff, but then I couldn’t pick up on any wireless signals. I restarted, still couldn’t get a connection. Didn’t feel like working on that lithium report, so I went on Mum and Daddy’s comp. Aaaand … voila!

9. Richard Petty Driving Experience

Put the pedal down at the Speedway and top 100 mph without fear of being pulled over.–10 Things to Do in Vegas Before You Die.

I wanna try that! Muahahahahaha!!! … On Thursday I saw one car pulled over on the freeway and then a few minutes later I saw another car get pulled over … made me all paranoid so I was going 65/70 in the third lane. ^^;; I’m sure I annoyed people behind me. Too bad. Seriously. The one and two lanes were open … go around me!! And I got better mileage than they did! >D

I was looking at those things to do lists because I thought they’d have better stuff … like in Sacramento I’d do about half the things they listed. But for LA I’d only do one or two things. There is much more to LA than Hollywood and clubs, seriously. That’s what annoys me about my chem class, they talk about LA in the superficial sense. :b

Other thing: I saw Gwen Stefani’s “Harajuku Girls” performance. First, what the egl community said (on lj): generally that Gwen is bad or that one song is bad, musically (I don’t disagree ^^;), and that she terribly warped egl and that all her fans will be getting into Japanese fashion through her version, but that also she didn’t specify which fashion style she liked … yeah, that’s pretty much it. What I say: meh. Gwen Stefani’s skirt was kinda lolita-ish, but other than that … it seemed more like she was talking about other styles.

Oh yeah. People in the egl comm said she name-dropped at the end of the song. I couldn’t really understand what she was saying after a while, so I didn’t catch that part. ^_^;; I think, at least partially, that she just really likes this style, and wanted to spread it around. egl-ers are just really strict about their fashion sometimes. :b I was thinking that way for a little while … ‘Oh, you can’t wear/do that, that’s not real egl!’ But after a while I stopped wanting to wear egl so much (because it costs so much if you don’t sew your own clothes ;.;) and I just accepted whatever fashion I could get.

Now I’m just … well firstly I don’t think I’m brave enough to wear the clothes I really want to. :b~ Secondly all I can really buy is what’s at the mall. Thirdly I don’t have enough time to learn how to sew, and fourthly I don’t want to go to thrift stores. The only one I know about is on W-street and I don’t want to drive there. hah

But yesterday I bought this long swooshy black skirt that kinda reminds me of something Amy Lee would wear (but is NOT the reason I bought it)!! :D At the moment I’m wondering if I have black tights that I could wear underneath another skirt I bought (and have yet to wear) and with my boots.

Kidz Bop

I probably said this before, but that Kid’s Bop stuff is really really ludicrous. I think the most stupid song they’ve got on the commercial I saw is either This Love or My Immortal. Well actually, I guess some kids could understand that song … that’d be sad. But This Love? o_O Hm, maybe, considering how quickly kids are (trying to) grow up these days …

Lenny Kravitz sings “shitty” on this Gap commercial. o.o Or at least it really really sounds like it. ^_^;;

Hmm … something else to say … I absolutely screwed up on the chem quiz today. x_<; *sigh* Well. Oh yeah. I have to figure out where the professor’s office is and go get my quiz tomorrow. Luckily. Wednesday is the only day I don’t have class during his office hours. Gah.

logic will break that head

The Stills’ singer is reminding me of someone, and I can’t figure out who. Grrr. Someone whose album I bought recently … I keep thinking Muse, but that can’t be it.

Yeah. I bought The Stills today, and Snow Patrol. ^_^ The Stills are all right. I dunno. I guess I’m just that into punk/punk pop? ‘Cause I’m really excited about Green Day’s new album. ^^;; The Stills are nice, but somehow … it’s just a bit dry to me. If that makes any sense. Maybe I just don’t like singers with low(ish) voices … >.>

Today I returned the Hot Gimmick vol. 2 I bought on Friday ’cause I found out it’s defective. First there’s this whole big part that gets skipped, then later on it’s inserted randomly and the manga just follows normally from there. Or, as Mum told me to phrase it, there’s a section duplicated, and it’s inserted in the storyline before it’s supposed to happen.

I got confused, greatly. As I was reading it I thought, ‘okay, maybe it’s one of those stories where things get filled in as you go along … o.O’ but then I realized later I’d read that part before! So. Uh. Yeah. I got a refund, and the guy ordered me a new one, ’cause I’d bought the store’s last copy. ^^;;

I also bought this guinea pig figurine! XD At a train store Mickey and Hidek went to for different things. It was only two dollars, and it looks so cuuute! Not rodent-like at all. Or … hampster-like. >_> And Mum bought a second one to give to Noelle. :b Ish sho cute. My guinea pig merchandise collection is growing! XD

it’s kind of funny…

…this feeling inside. (I think if I’m gonna run my entry subjects into the entry itself then I should show the subject on the main page, shouldn’t I. ^^;; *doesn’t like showing that side of her weirdness so visibly*)

Hm. Stryker said “kind of Coldplay” about Snow Patrol. I never thought of that. But then again, I’ve only ever heard two of their songs. ^^; Run, which just played on the radio now (w00t, love new music, as long as it’s not Beastie Boys or … that other rap/rock group), and Spitting Games, of which the music video is on Launch.

I want Snow Patrol’s album, too. :b I want lots of music … and earlier this year, around January February, I was thinking that there was so little music that I wanted, and that it was sad, but I guess I’d just have to make do with the music I had … or go buy 60s music in CD form. (Mum has lots of 60s music, but it’s in vinyl form.)

*blink* Okay. The entry subject, right. This entry was gonna be about how while LJ was slow and all that last week, fs.net was always up whenever I wanted to access it. :b How weird. Today LJ was all nice (or, so far it has been), and today the first time I tried to go to fs.net I got a Cannot Find Server message. Ah well. I don’t know which one I’d rather have. I think LJ, but I’m kind of used to LJ being down. I don’t know why. I’ve never really had my website unaccessible for so long like this. Except when Endore went out of business. But whatever. I have a headache now. The kind that starts from my eyes. So now I’m done.

more Weenie Roast

Hidek asked me if I’d like to take him to Weenie Roast. I told him I don’t have any money. :b Which is true. But anyway. I think they sold out of tickets today in less than two hours. :/ Two DJs talked about KROQ street team members selling their terrace seats on ebay. ^^;;; Gee. Money grubbers.

I didn’t really want to go, though, ’cause firstly it’s a concert and I’m not a concerty person (lots of people, loud music … two things I’m not into), and secondly I didn’t want to hear Beastie Boys and Cypress Hill. >_>

hehehe … :b~
