Evanescence on Hard Rock Live

There was this Hard Rock Live thing on MTV2; a half hour of Evanescence playing live. It was on at 4:30, and I left the room at four to tell Hidek something. When I got back Mickey was watching tv. He said I could have it, but he was watching the prerace (Trapt performed at the track O_o;;;), and there was a race later … so I let him have the tv.

I figured I could get Mommy to switch the channel, but then when I got down there, (I was reading the art history book), she was talking about the movie she was watching. “It’s a great movie. Well, you have to watch it from the beginning. This is my .. third time watching it.” So I didn’t feel like changing channels after that.

The movie was over at 4:55, so I got to watch one song (Mommy said she would have let me switch channels *smacks self*), but it didn’t matter anyway, because the cable connection is stoopid and half the time the screen was pixelly and I couldn’t hear her (volume fading and coming back …). Mommy said, “The music’s too loud. Sometimes the music is too loud and the singer can’t hear the pitch.” I thought, ‘How can she tell?! I can’t hear anything!’

Last night, I found this program on the International Channel (I waaant! but it’s part of an extra package with Comcast T-T). It was showing music videos. I think they were all Korean but I couldn’t really tell. ^^;; Yeah. Asian rappers! O_O It was scaary …

OOH! And I saw the last half minute of a BoA video!! XD (I’d changed the channel and forgot to switch back. >.>) She looks a lot older. o_O She looked like a regular 16-year-old, not an Asian 16-year-old. :b

Then there was this boygroup video … the music so seriously sounded like an Nsync song. But since I don’t listen to their songs I don’t know which one exactly. ^_~ And I don’t know if it was the same video, or another boygroup-esque video, but one of the guys looked kinda like Hoshino. XD Hoshino! T-T Poor Hoshino … *sniffles*

Then there was another video which started out interestingly enough, like a modern artistic thing or something, but then it ended up being a normal boring video with backup dancers. -.- The beginning had the singer (Park Ji Yoon) at a sewing machine, and there was this black beetle (I forget the specific species) walking around … and I’m still not quite sure what happened to the beetle. :( But that certainly would be one way to get black lipstick. :B And there was this teddy bear banging on the window … which she ended up tearing apart. Huge teddy bear. O.O Like … it took more than two men to carry it kind of big … yeah.

So. Now I’ve got Park Ji Yoon piccies to use for a new layout. :D I’m getting tired of the … I don’t know. Something about this layout. Besides, I still want a normal blog layout with a designated sidebar. I don’t really know why.

Hm, haven’t updated for a bit. ^^;; But, I got my Amazon stuff on Tuesday. XD Read the first page of the intro of Flower Drum Song and Chobits 7, but that’s it. ^^;;

Right now I’m in the middle of The Moon is a Harsh Mistress (which I started reading on July 5th), so I’m trying to finish that before anything else … and I also got interested in Count of Monte Cristo, so I’m reading that too. ^.^; I’m on page 60 after a day or two of hesitant reading, and reading TMIAHM. >D It’s like the newest movie, only … better! ^__^

Earlier today, since Hidek was at his friend’s house, I hopped on our compi to scan this piccie of Miwako [“little bit blue Miwako”] (yaaay Miwako!! :D) and the back of my Emmerdale album, since I got approval to build the fanlisting a while ago. -.-;; So far today I made the layout (finally, a good frames layout o.O), and started working on the nav/style sheet, but then I stopped feeling like working on it, so I got on aim. ^^’ I was “a-little-bit-blue.”

I haven’t played The Sims for a while. I was gonna play today, but then decided I really didn’t want to play all that much. Hah! So very good of me. Yeah. Instead I cleaned out My Documents (got it from 882 megs to 880 ^^;;;) and my Favorites (got rid of 75 or so so far)

Anyway … tonight, after dinner, I read Chobits 7 and it made me more sad. :( Kinda felt like crying. ^^; But it’s so coool. :D I both want vol 8 really really badly and want it not to come out, because it’ll mean the end. And oh! There was an Angelic Layer reference. So cool. :)

Oh yeah. My You’re the Storm single. Hehehe … very good. ^_^ Although I like the song For What It’s Worth more. (“For what it’s worth, I love you. And what is worse, I really do.”) You’re the Storm is still cool. (“I like the sweet life and the silence. But it’s the storm that I believe in.”) And they kept in the war-sensitive stuff. :b Although I don’t know what the radio version’s like. ¬_¬ Stupid America keeping The Cardigans away. And the song that I really really wanted ever since I heard the “mini version,” Hold Me … ^-^ yay! I got it! But it’s a bit faster than I expected. :( Makes me sad. It’s not a slow depressing song. It’s more peppy. :b

I also found out about this other band … Death Cab for Cutie. It’s a pop band. ^^’ But indie pop. Good indie pop. :) Downloaded their song “For What Reason.” Good. Am debating whether I should buy their albums or not.

Which reminds me. Daughter Darling released their album finally. To very good reviews. Except for this one trip-hop website, which says they’re “not trip-hop.” o_O But anyway, what I wanted to say is … I don’t think I’d find their album in a store, and we just bought from Amazon. ARGH! I need CD! I need to know them before they’re big! I need to not look like a bandwagon fan!! :b

Actually, one of the guys (I forget who) said their stuff isn’t radio friendly, which is what they wanted, but they’re still gonna try to put at least one song on the radio. *shrugs* Oh well. Keep my head up for our next Amazon splurge. :D

SM00 and Noelle and Tadash are here to sleep over until Knott’s Berry Farm on Monday. WOOHOO!! I’ve missed my yearly helping of Knott’s. ^^;; I wanna get a huge Snoopy shirt there. I kinda tore my kitty shirt I use for pjs. >.> Ooh, and we’re gonna go on Perilous Plunge, and Bigfoot Rapids, and ooh ooh, Ghostrider and Log Ride and Gran Slam and and and … ^^ Yay!!!

Oh yeah. Yoinked SM00’s Christina Aguilera album and got Beautiful and Fighter. w00t! *really likes Fighter* Also got these other two songs I really like. Make Over and I’m OK. :D And Walk Away is all right. I would say the order from most to least (but not dis) liked is Fighter, Make Over, I’m Ok, Beautiful, and Walk Away. ^__^

Hidek told me that for the Scientist music video, the singer had to learn how to sing it backwards. o.o I wonder how long that took …

And I want a Radiohead and Red Hot Chili Peppers album. ^^;; Well, I liked Creep (Radiohead) when I saw the music video. And There, There is nice. Once I stop staring at the video and start paying attention to the music. :b And I like Californication and Other Side (Red Hot Chili Peppers). So I’m thinking about it.

I also like NOFX’s lyrics on their latest album. ^.^ “American Errorist (I Hate Hate Haters)” :b “I see no world peace ’cause of zealous armed forces / I eat no breath-mints ’cause they’re from de-hoofed horses / Now I can’t believe; what an absolute failure / The president’s laughing ’cause we voted for Nader / I want to move north and be a Canadian / Or hang down low with the nice Australians / I don’t want to be another ‘I-don’t-care-ican’ / What are we gonna do Franco, Franco Un-American” “The Separation Of Church And Skate” (“When did punk rock become so safe” I have no idea what punk rock is, and I didn’t even know NOFX is punk rock. ^^;; I just know Kurt Cobain got into punk rock at first, and I didn’t like the music that program played.)
