still alive

… Yeah I’m still awake. >_> And still on the computer. <_< I don’t feel like going to bed. I feel like writing up an entry here.

Latest news and stuff: I uploaded my graphics final to inangeling-dot-net. I’d post the link up here, but the site is down. -_- Too lazy lately to contact support and bother them. I also created a wallpaper site and uploaded that to inangeling-dot-net. But … the same problem mentioned before.

I bought two Sandman comics this week. Still haven’t read the eighth one. Oh yeah. The seventh one, I had three $5 off certificates (for being a preferred reader and spending, apparently, $300 at their store in the past few months o_o;;), so I paid only $3.19 for it. XP Then I got a 15% off certificate through the mailing list, and I was allowed to add that to my usual 10% discount, so the eighth one cost me only $16.52. :)

I also bought myself Confidential Confessions 3 today. And Mum and I went to eat at the mall and we shared Panda Express; chow mein, beef and broccoli, and chicken and pineapples. Yum.

Tonight she and I watched Bend It Like Beckham. Yay! I liked it. ^-^ Except, the quality of the tape was bad, and add to that the English accents … x_X Mum and I kept asking each other, “What’d they say?” and rewinding it. Hah.

so lay down

O_o Uh. This layout needs more tweaking. But dinner’s gonna be ready soon, so I figured I’d rather talk about the layout than work on it. ^^;;

Okay, EGL! XD The image is from Homemade Gothic & Lolita. Um. I forget where I got the scan. <_< *don’t hurt me* I think I should have worked on the quality of the image. ^^; I forgot. Oh well.

Now what? I dunno. I finished Sandman 6. ^^ I can’t read King of Dreams until I finish the next four!! Ahhh! Oh well.

giving up, giving in

On Friday Mommy and I went to the mall for lunch and some spending of my nonexistant money. ^^;; Well, I haven’t bought anything to read in a longo while, and I wanted Sandman: A Game of You (which I’ve started today ^.^), and to get a present for Tadash. I ended up spending about $70. >.>

At Suncoast I looked through Animerica and decided to buy it (despite it not being the one with the EGL article in it -.- *whacks self for missing it*). Saw Witch Hunter Robin box set. Went OooOooh! over it. :b There were also A Charlie Brown Christmas figures. o.o So cool. ^-^ They had Linus, Pigpen, Lucy, Charlie Brown, Schroeder, another person (I forget who), and … SNOOPY! XP The Snoopy one was $20 and the others were less than half. ‘Cause Snoopy comes with his doghouse. Hehe. Then farther back they had more Snoopy stuff. ^^;; Shirts, games (Monopoly, which I already have :b and chess), and a stuffed Snoopy beanie! Which I bought. ^.^;; He’s bigger than my Knott’s Snoopy beanie, but not as cuuute. ^^ Still cute though.

Then at Waldenbooks I got Sandman: Game of You, Inu Yasha manga (for Tadash, and no I have not read it), Angel Nest (by Erica Sakurazawa ^_~), and Confidential Confessions 2. At the register the guy said they were having a buy 4 get the 5th free day, so he told me to go get another book. I snatched the sixth Sandman book. ^.^;

I’ll fight that

I watched Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door Thursday, with Noelle. ^__^ (And since then I’ve had two separate mentions of Halloween. O.o One from SM00, I forget what for, and one from my mom today, talking about doughnuts she bought with orange and black sprinkles. “What am I supposed to do, keep it for a month and a half? They wouldn’t be doughnuts anymore!”)

Wheee! More Spike and Faye-Faye and Ed XD goodness! Plus hearing the soundtrack that I’ve been listening to for about a year now without having ever seen the movie. ^_^;;; That was cool. “Ooh! This song! *hums along*” ^-^

We made a stop at Mitsuwa on the way home. Mommy and I shared a “pork-flavored ramen” from Tampopo. XD And it was better than the other, a bit … still really salty. Not that that’s bad, I’m just thinking about my system digesting it. ^_^;; I also got her to buy nori in the market. (wheee, nori!! :D)

Then we looked at that “book” (manga) store. There was this huuge thing with GLAY on it. $50. Hm. o_o (They’re like full of pictures, or something, I don’t know.) The Ayumi Hamasaki one from some 2001 tour is still there, $15. And I knew no one else there. (There was a book on the top shelf that was labeled Brad Pitt. :b) Couldn’t find Gokinjo Monogatari or Paradise Kiss or any other manga I knew and was interested in (Inu-Yasha :b). The Ring 2 video is still there. *shiver* Must watch some time. ^^

Looked through Trendy (really, it’s the store’s name). Not much. Inu-Yasha DVDs, three, for $60. All-region coding, too. And subtitles. But … I didn’t want to spend that much money at the moment. And there was this Totoro doll, too. One of the smaller ones. It was so round and cuute! ^__^ Me want. But didn’t buy. (*can imagine SM00 hiding him as well* D<)

Then after dinner Mommy, Hidek, and I went to Westside Pavilion. I wanted The Sandman: Season of Mists and maybe some shirts, and Hidek wanted an Element hat. What we got: Element hat (black and red, oooh), Element t-shirt, and Vans t-shirt, and two pairs of shorts (Dutch girl style, as Mommy said ^_^;) and a Nirvana book for Hidek; larger purse (ish cool ^_^) to fit my sunglasses, The F***-Up, For All Time, Sorceress, Born Blue, and lastly, The Sandman: Season of Mists, all for me. No manga this time. *gasp* (And the string of “teen” books, I’ve wanted them all for a long while. For All Time since 9th grade or whenever. o_o)

I don’t know how much I spent … hopefully no more than $50. ^^;;; Oh yeah! Westside Pavilion has a skate shop. I never knew. They also have a PacSun that’s more LA-style (read: more coool :b) than the one in Thousand Oaks (i.e. upper middle-class x_x). I was actually beginning to think that it might not be so bad after all. :b~ Ooh ooh, and and, there’s an anime cart right outside the PacSun! *dances* Although it’s not as fully stocked as the one by Noelle (two shelves of manga and one shelf of DVDs *sniff*), it has a website! :D I still have to check that out. ^^;; Will do tomorrow.

Parting words … new layout (BoA ^^) at [STF (link to layout archive)]. I still have to make a new layout for IAT. And make the wallpaper site. (Or maybe not.) And divide Elsewhere into writing and images (I’m gonna rename EW “Ever Elsewhere.” ^^)

shopping buh

Busy day today. Whoop. I went to bed after 12 and probably fell asleep around 1, then woke up about 9 but kept trying to sleep. :b Mommy told me 9:30 breakfast was ready so ten minutes later I got up. After that … a mixture of doing homework/other “home work,” then went to the mall with Mommy ’cause I had this 15% off coupon for Waldenbooks, got The Sandman: The Dream Hunters (25% off! w00t! XD), Kare Kano 4 and Mars 3 >.> dunno why, then went to Claire’s to look for some watch I could attach to my belt or summing … no find, then Macy’s and Robinson’s May for Clinique stuff, which neither of them had, then Suncoast where I got Animerica, dunny why.

Home, then to Best Buy with Hidek where I got Chobits 1. :D $30, though. :/ Along with the … $35 at Waldenbooks and $5 at Suncoast … x_x Hey, I had a lot more money in my wallet than I thought. Hahaha. Oh well, no more spending. And another DVD to add to my “watch some time in the future” pile. ^^;; (So far it’s got Cowboy Bebop the movie, Count of Monte Cristo, Escaflowne movie … I guess with the Chobits DVD that’s four. Well, with the VHS I wanna watch too … but I’ve forgotten which ones those were. ^_^;)

Ooh! At Waldenbooks I saw The Wolves in the Walls! Writer Neil Gaiman, illustrator Dave McKean. Ooooh! It looked wonderful … but it was in hardcover, and I’m cheap. <.< Dave McKean ish good. I wish I could design covers and stuff like him. ^^. I also need to get Coraline. And Stardust. And the rest of The Sandman collection. :D Actually, at Waldenbooks … someone is cruel. Well, they got all these new books in. Except for two of them. They had 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, and The Dream Hunters (which I of course bought). How could they not have the third one?! Wahhh!!! T-T Mm … well at least I have The Dream Hunters. :D Looks delish. >D Woonderful illustrations!
