computer, floats, site stuff, a poem

Hm. How interesting. I left my laptop to eat dinner, and when I came back the screen was black, as that’s the screensaver I prefer. I touch the touchpad and the screen switches to a lighter shade of black. Yupyup. It meant my screen went blank. So I took out the battery and unplugged the ac adapter. As I unplugged it my laptop went “MEEEEEEW!” in a high-pitched tone, fading away at the end. O.o Is my laptop trying to talk to me again? (One time Daddy was trying to print something from my laptop and it said something like, “The printer cannot be found” even though I had the sound turned off. o.o) But anyway. Isn’t it stupid that my screen goes blank when I’m not even using it? >_< Grrrr.

Today went to Burger King with Mommy and got frozen floats. Woo, yummy! :D It’s half Icee and half ice cream. A real float. XD And it’s yummyy!! It costs $1.59 though. x_x

Also ordered from Amazon tonight. Finally! I got The Cardigans’ You’re the Storm single with Hold Me on it, yaay!, Flower Drum Song by C. Y. Lee, Veronika Decides to Die by Paulo Coehlo, Chobits vol. 7, and “Prelude and Nocturnes” (Sandman book 1). w00t. :D Yes, I seem a bit obsessed with Neil Gaiman, don’t I? Fuuun. ^-^

*ahem* Yeah. Site stuff: I am stuck on what else to write for SMC. o_o I’ve got “background,” “Christ,” and “personality.” Not much in personality, either. -.- Ahaha! Uhh … yeah. I do mean the section I’m writing, not me. :b I don’t know what else to write about. It’s been such a long time since I started this remake that I forgot all the sections I wanted to do. ^^;;;

Concerning the IAT layout: trying to figure out why the placement of things changes when the size of the browser window changes. O_o And also, as soon as I get around to it, I’ll put up a new layout here. ^^;; I feel like making a traditional blog layout complete with sidebar and such. Go me. :b

Now to close this, a poem Neil Gaiman wrote entitled (I assume), “Reading the Entrails: A Rondel”

They’ll call it chance, or luck, or call it Fate—
The cards and stars that tumble as they will.
Tomorrow manifests and brings the bill
For every kiss and kill, the small and great.
You want to know the future, love? Then wait:
I’ll answer your impatient questions. Still—
They’ll call it chance, or luck, or call it Fate,
The cards and stars that tumble as they will.

I’ll come to you tonight, dear, when it’s late,
You will not see me; you may feel a chill.
I’ll wait until you sleep, then take my fill,
And that will be your future on a plate.
They’ll call it chance, or luck, or call it Fate.

don’t you start

Hidek was downstairs watching TV (I figured out afterwards it’s because Daddy was doing something on our compi), and reading the 5th Potter book. So first he was watching this thing on G4 about some gaming convention … I forget what it was called … maybe it was E3 … they were showing people going in, Brittany Murphy, the three people from Charmed … yeah, that’s all I saw.

At 9:30 he watched South Park. I dunno what episode it was. But I heard the themesong. :) So then at 10:30 he was watching x-Men Evolution, and because I had to clean up Shadow’s barf, I instead sat down and started watching. XP;

They showed a commercial for Inu Yasha. I wish I could see that. The reason I can’t is because … I don’t seem to have the patience to sit and watch TV lately. Even last Friday, when Mickey and Daddy (both at separate times :b) told me there was a new episode of Monk on, I was still debating at ten whether I would watch it. But I watched it. ^___^

“You just mixed the decaf with the caffeine.”
“But they’re even.”
“But they’re mixed together.”
“But they’re even.”
“But … they’re mixed together.”
“But … …. they’re even.”

XDDD

Oh yeah. Earlier this week Eight Men Out was on IFC again. Half an hour into it. I didn’t watch it. And I just realized I haven’t been watching .hack//SIGN lately. O_< I think I’ve seen 5 or 6 episodes total … *sigh* And like I said, earlier today I wanted to watch movies all day long. But now I’m back to my impatient-with-tv mood.

Oh well. I also put up the fanlisting for The Cardigans’ fourth album, [Gran Turismo (link to fl)]. w00t! XD But I didn’t get the fanlisting for Long Gone Before Daylight. WAHHHH!!!! *anime face with rivers of tears flowing out* And I’m trying to get myself to build other fanlistings I have in mind. All of them which will probably not be popular and therefore not get many, if any (… I have no idea how else to say that O.o), people joining.

Last thing: UGH. I don’t know if I’m the only one who applied to The Cardigans fanlisting (hopefully not; hopefully they’re more popular than that), or if my application didn’t go through, or … WHAT. But UGH. Why she no update? T-T And a lot of other fanlistings that don’t seem to update … ¬_¬ But mainly the Cardigans one, because I WANTED THAT FANLISTING!! *sighs* Oh well. Really. I wouldn’t mind not getting it, if only she’d UPDATE! >.> *hopes she doesn’t get in trouble for anything she said* <.< *scurries off*

here comes another one

Yaya! ^_^ New layout ish up. Yupyup. I dunno who it is. >.> I think it’s Mikako (Miwako’s older sis from Gokinjo Monagatari). Pink hair, pouty lips, yeah, sure points to Mikako. :b

Anyway. Lyrics are from Yo La Tengo. ^___^ I like them. Another indie pop group I like. XD Uhh, but they’re not my favorite or anything … actually, I think I could rightly say that The Cardigans are my most favorite of all time bands. Acause I keep going back to them. ^_^ *thinks of all the other bands/singers/groups she considered her favorite*

Well anyway. The song is on their album, “I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One,” which I got on Sunday. :D It’s Autumn Sweater, the song that has the most comments on SongMeanings.net. :b

Gran Turismo

I listened to Gran Turismo (I forgot I had the whole album on Portibale) and I got that feeling from that Christmas. I guess it was two years ago. I can never remember the gifts from Christmas. Isn’t that horrible?

Well, last year Noelle got me that Audrey Hepburn layout. So prettyful and elegant … hehe. I forget the year before. ._.

I forget when I got my Lisa Loeb CD. I know it was the time we had Christmas at my cousin’s house. I guess I got it the same time I got Gran Turismo.

Anyway. That Christmas was the first time we went to the Del Amo mall. I got Mickey to play Gran Turismo as we were almost there, and Daddy said, “Boy, this sure is great Christmas music!” o_o;; *coughs*

SLD, Cardigans, and Riri Shushu

Wooow … I guess I just don’t feel like talking on and on. ^.^ Haven’t written that much in lj or dland or a secret log I started up recently either. o.o

Ah well. Let’s see what I can talk about. I don’t know. Oh. My group’s sld on Thursday rocked! XD (SLD = Student-Led Discussion) We barely said anything! The discussion just jumped up and ran. XDDD The prof: “There were times when barely anyone talked, and now everyone is talking all at once … couldn’t we have a happy medium where everyone talks … but not all at once?” Ahhh!! Sho cool! :D:D

And I got The Cardigans’ new album, Long Gone Before Daylight. *dances all over the room* It’s wonderful! They’ve matured nicely. Haha. It’s not like any of their other albums. It is rather folksy, like someone said on the forum. But not too bad, I don’t think. Then again, Daddy was tapping his foot to the music, so there’s gotta be something wrong there. :b (Daddy likes country and stuff.) I think I like the songs Communication and And Then You Kissed Me the most (although ATYKM is about an abusive relationship …).

I also got All About Lily Chou-Chou. YAYAYAYAY!!! :D Such a gooood movie!! ^___^ Also a very bad movie. o_o Should be rated R. I didn’t know that when I first started watching. ^.^ I assumed it was PG-13 or something. Japan is hooorrible now! ;_; Well, I can’t assume it’s like that everywhere, right? *hopes and prays*

It was funny, at the beginning, Yuichi was caught stealing Lily Chou-Chou’s newest album, and when his mom came into the office to talk to the teacher who fixed the problem (o_o that was weird, too) and another teacher and was told that Yuichi was stealing, she just jumped up and started beating him with her purse. O_O I thought that was funneee! ^.^;;;

Then Mommy started explaining to me, even though I knew this (it was why I started laughing ^_^;;;), that stealing is horrible, horrible, and that Yuichi is now DIRT because of that. Lower than dirt, if that’s possible. And because he’s dirt, his mom is dirt, because she’s related to him, she brought him up, she’s lived with him, etc. etc., she hasn’t brought him up to STEAL. And now their neighbors will ostracize them and everything. Japan is weird. I love it. Then the other teacher, after he calmed her down, said it wasn’t such a big thing, a lot of kids steal. o.o;

I <3 Yuichi and Hoshino and Tsuda and Kuno. ^____^ *sniffle* Everyone see the movie. Unless you’re under 17. ._.;

Ah. I also got all the Lily Chou-Chou songs in mp3 format. XDDD Although I wish I could buy the CD. :( Guess I’ll just burn my own …
