the last day

^_^;;; Okay, I upload a new layout and don’t make a new entry for over 24 hours afterwards. @_@

Well anyway. The girl is some model from Seventeen. ^^;; I forget which issue. But I just liked that picture … I saw this ad in the last issue (not this issue) that I liked, and I scanned it in. ^^; Dunno what I’m gonna use it for, though.

I said it’d be an EGL layout, but I couldn’t really find any EGL pictures that were good enough for me, or that I wanted to work with, or that fitted with my mood (the lyrics I wanted to plaster all over the layout).

Oh yeah! The lyrics on this layout are Lesley Gore. :D I’ve heard … maybe 5 songs of hers. And I’m not sure if she’s 60s (probably is, girl groups era and all), or if that girl in the scan is 60s, or what. But anyway. In the album sleeve in Girl Group Greats, it says her (Lesley Gore’s) attraction was this spoiled rich girl. Ehehe.

*puts a tape in the car stereo* “SUNshine, lolli-POPS and—RAINbows, everything that’s wonderful is what I feel when we’re together!” XD One time, after Mommy heard that on the Simpsons, she pulled out her Lesley Gore vinyl album to play the entire song for us. o.o That was a long time ago … when the stereo was still by the china cabinet. It was fun. ^_^ And funNEE. XD

WOOHOO!! XD I finished renumbering all my entries and junk. *dizzy* I deleted a total of 95 entries, and ended up with 231 entries left over. This would be the 232nd, I guess. Yeah. Next project: manually making a calendar-based archive page. Why? Because I want to. ^^;; I just feel like it … “Be like the boy! Be like the boy!” Old guys in the back: “We like Roy! We like Roy!” XP

Actually, an ongoing “project” I’m working on right now is cleaning out my documents folder. Augh. A couple days ago it was 1 gig. Now it’s 996 megs for some reason. ^_^; I don’t remember deleting anything. I remember saving a lot of things though. >.> I also have to look through my DeadAIM logs and delete unwanted convos. @.@ I think that folder is over 200 megs … egh.

Oh well. I have lots of projects lined up. ^_^;;; Just to name a few … clean out my closet, clean out my desk possibly, redo Elsewhere, and work on adding lyrics and lyric credits to Lyrically Longing.

Anyway … this week was mainly filled with three Es … Evanescence, EGL, and ebay. ^^;;

On Tuesday I found sites that had Evanescence songs that aren’t on their Fallen album. I.E., songs from their Origin album and EPs, and demos. XDDD Two hours and almost 50 minutes of Evanescence goodness. So I’ve been like in a euphoria listening to Amy Lee’s voice. XD

On a lot of these songs, her voice gets used more on singing. Not that her screaming is bad. :b I like that too. XP Like the song playing right now, Give Unto Me. It’s mainly her voice and piano. w00t! :D And Lies is a good rock song, too. ^-^ Soo good. ^__^ (And the downloading is very legal, since the members of Evanescence don’t want their fans to pay $100 for copies on ebay. :))

EGL: I saved more piccies from GLB last night. :D New layout, coming up (I hope o.o). And I think I’m definitely putting GLB on my Christmas list. (Mommy wants it early this year, so she can finish Christmas shopping before Thanksgiving. ^^’) I think on one site one GLB volume is $18.99. >_> But it’s the one most linked to, so I’ll go with that.

Ebay: ^^;;; I keep looking up variations of “elegant gothic lolita” to see what they have. And I already bought a dress. ^_^; But it’s not very lolita-ish. Just … well, not gothic, considering the dress underneath is pink … (I’m thinking of dying it black or summing … *shrugs*), but … yeah, not ruffle-y. ^_^; And I’m gonna ask Mommy if I can bid on another dress tomorrow. >.> The auction item closes on Saturday. And I waaant. Why? I dunno. It’s black. So I can wear it with my boots! XD

Oh yeah. o_O Did I not mention my boots here? I got mah boots! :D They’re not tall, though, just … umm … well, above ankle-height, but … maybe mid-calf? *shrugs* Anyway. I got them from Sears for $41.65 (something like that) including tax. :D:D:D So I have $20 left over now! ^-^ Of course, I’m trying to save up for Christmas … and I have to pay for this domain again in December … eek.

\^.^/ Yay! Halloween layout! My first one, technically. Since my Padmé layout two years ago never out and out said it was for Halloween. :) *dances* Yaaay! The image is a scan from Gothic & Lolita Bible volume 10. I want the GLBs so bad. ;.; Not for the patterns, just for the piccies inside. ^^’

I know, this layout is only good for about 5 days, but still … isn’t she so cute? ^^. Ish sho cuuute.

Oooh … on Sunday I had a dream about Mana. o.o He was wearing that one outfit, the all white one with the blue hair and shtuff … yeah. *cough* And I was with a friend in a store trying on Mary Jane-ish platform shoes when I saw him. ^.^;;; *cough cough* Obsessed? Whoever thinks that now? :b

Oh oh oh, in one of the GLBs, there’s this girl with shoes that are soooo tall. o.o;; It’s kinda scary. x_X

Don’t worry. After Halloween, I’ll try to get another EGL layout up. :P

Woohoo, I upgraded to Greymatter 1.3. :D ‘Tis weird. *looks up and sees areas for music and mood* o.o Never thought that would happen.

I also think I get the gist of how to delete entries. Most all the posts at the support forum say it’s doable, but tedious. I can do tedious work. Very well. Well, maybe not. ^_^; But I don’t mind. I really really wanna get rid of some entries. >_>

So I’ve gone through 50 entries and I have … 13 entries left. ^_^;;; (All the deleted entries and their comments can be read on my diary. But do you know where my diary is? *eerie background music*)

Oh yeah, and this would be entry 325, before the cleanup. What number will it be afterwards, I wonder …

I figured I should say something, since my last entry was made on Sunday … well, technically late Saturday night. Laaate Saturday night. :x

So Sunday came here (still at Noelle’s house, ’cause they’re going … somewhere, I forget where, tomorrow, and Auntie said she’d drop me off so Mommy doesn’t have to drive up here ^^;). Auntie said she wasn’t really planning to do anything, maybe work in the garden, but since it was so warm she wasn’t sure. Then I asked if we could go to the outlet mall to look for boots. So I made everyone (Mommy, Auntie, Noelle, SM00) go to the outlet mall. XD I didn’t find boots there. ;.; I liked this one pair at Easy Spirit (over $100 x.x), except size 6m was too tight and 6.5m was too long. (Dang people who don’t make 6w boots. ¬.¬) But everyone bought something, so it wasn’t a total waste. Auntie bought a shirt for W88 for his birthday, SM00 bought a pink stud bracelet, Noelle bought a hat, I bought a pair of pants, and Mommy bought a candle holder from Mikasa. No one spent over $20. XD

Monday we got our geology midterms back and I found I got an A. XD w00t! There were 120 questions and I missed 15. Practically all of them were the rock/fossil/mineral identification. -.-;; Then on Tuesday we got back the quiz in art history and I got an A on that too. :D (But I still have to work on that “extra credit” project to get an A. x_x Must remember to complete that …) Wednesday was a nice short day, second midterm in GEAH. Today got the midterms back in GEAH. Got an A. Woohoo! Barely. One more wrong answer and I would have gotten a B. ;_;

Oh yeah. Also on Tuesday I went in to see my counselor about changing my major from graphic design to graphic communications. I guess I’m planning to go to Cal Poly. ^.^;; *still not sure about living with Auntie J and Uncle G* The two main things I learned: Cal Poly is the best graphics school in Cal State. Yup yup. ^_^ So it’s an impacted school. Meaning more people apply than get in. *falls over* To have an edge over other applicants, I need to take all these “support classes.” I can’t believe I’m gonna try to cram Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Pre-Calc, Statistics, two Chem classes (AHHHH!!!!! *cries*), English 1B, Speech, American History, and other not so serious classes into the next three semesters. Can I just die now? *dies*

The second-best graphics university is Long Beach. Noooo, not Long Beach! o_o Nothing against that area, just don’t know anyone living there (other than my cousin and her husband :b), and it’s a semi-hellish two hour drive to LA. My counselor said I should apply to another school, just in case. o_< Maybe I’ll make my major fashion/costume design and go to CSUCI. But that would take longer … *shrugs*

Ooh, ooh. Geology on Wednesday was just review of the lab so I started drawing an egl girl. ^_^;;; She no look cute. ;_; *needs to work on drawing more* Then I played Animal Crossing for a couple hours, and before I finished I made my person an egl-esque pattern for her clothes. XD Very simplified, but still very cute and kinda gothic. ^_^ Also sometime during the week I saved three scans from Gothic & Lolita Bible vol. 9 and 10 to make layouts with. Then I made an LJ icon using a punkish model from GLB. ^.^

I’m also thinking about bidding on this. [Removed link to ebay.] I know it’s not very egl, but like I said before, I don’t wanna wear egl. I just like staring at it. :b I was trying to talk to Mommy on aim last night about it (she used one of Hidek’s old names), but she stopped talking to me after I said I don’t know why I want it, then she signed off. ;.; My mommy signed off on meeee!!! Wahhh!!!! Well, there might have been another power outage at home, I dunno. ^^;; ‘Cause Hidek signed off about 5 minutes later and never came on again. *shrugs* Oh well. Who knows. Maybe God is saying I shouldn’t get into ega and shtuff. Maybe he’s saying I shouldn’t get into buying clothes at all. Another hint: I don’t like bidding on things that other people have bidded on. ^_^;;; I kinda feel like I’m snatching an item out of their hand on a Saturday sale discount, or something … like in Lizzie McGuire. Ehehe. I dunno.

But I feel like sewing my own clothes again. I forget when I first wanted to do that … but the second (or third) time was when I saw all the clothes Bachan owned that she sewed herself. Mommy has one of those dresses. ^^ She has to lose weight to wear it *koffkoff* but she has it nonetheless. The only problem (or the biggest problem, anyway) is fabric. I don’t know fabric! Bachan was my last link! Well, maybe Auntie G could tell me … Plus, it’s very expensive. x_X And patterns … and sewing … the sewing machine scares me … kinda … sorta … besides, Mommy’s is buried under all her ju- all her stuff in her study. And I’m not so sure that I’m that into sewing … and I don’t have time for sewing now anyway. *thinks of those classes and dies* I dunno …

Anyway. Right now I’m going through all my old GM entries and seeing which ones I copied from/into Diaryland, and deleting those. I’ve gone through fifteen, and I have three not deleted. ^_^;;; It’ll get easier after a while, though … *checks* maybe 100 entries in. x.x After that, I have to find that topic where they say how to renumber everything and reupload and junk and not break GM … then I have to renumber everything and reupload and junk. o_O Doesn’t it sound like so much fun?
